Admittedly this specific album was mentioned a few weeks back, so I'm a little late to this particular party. Nevertheless I shall endeavor to explore this release and the current buzz that continues to surround this band.
Vallenfyre is a “super group” that formed in 2010, following in the grand traditions of, arguably the first death super group Terrorizer (with members of Morbid Angel and Napalm Death), Lockup and Abyss (both with Peter Tagtgren of Hypocrisy), October Tide (with Katatonia vocalist Jonas Renkse), Phil Anselmo fronted Down and Bloodbath (recently added to with the inclusion of Nick Holmes of Paradise Lost) the list grows and only continues to get larger as creativity and musical genres expand.
Most notable are his associations with At the Gates, The Haunted, Cradle of Filth and Paradise Lost in a career that spans more than the two decades. There's no other way to see what style Vallenfyre play other than to press play and truly know, so with my finger poised over the button, here goes nothing...
