More than merely traditional black metal, this is an album that may well have one changing their perceptions on what can be achieved within the same genre when an act (such as Noire) chooses to expand upon and utilize the same framework long-time fans have come to have a fond attachment to.
Brilliant execution, experimentation and fusing of styles keeps the listener’s attention throughout within numerous tracks displaying infinite depth and professionalism. This is a must listen for any fans of the melancholic realms of metal.

Yes, I understand Feind has tackled this release before but I only thought it fitting to add my two cents. In essence, again to keep this musing to a minimum, if you enjoy Lamb of God (in particular Randy Blythe’s unique style) but believe their ‘music’ to be lacking as of late give this a spin. I agree with my scribblin’ partner on this one (big shocker there right?) this is a beaut’ and wholly undefinable, although it reeks of groove and genius.
Bloodlust packs enough of a punch to keep it from dwelling in the boredom arena and miles from the mouths of haters. An amazing debut by any standards!
