Welcome Scribbler Metalheads! Late yesterday Old Man Feind was introduced to a new band from an old favorite. Phil Anselmo has an ear for talent and just as important an ear for the out of the ordinary not so typical bands. Such is the case with new Housecore Records artist Child Bite. It's new and different but a ton of fun!
I am a total unashamed fanboy of Phil Anselmo with his label Housecore Records Phil tries to highlight and showcase fresh young talent that needs to be heard. He operates the way a small label should allowing his artists to make the music they want and if a bigger label wants to snatch 'em up he lets 'em go on to bigger and better things. That is exactly what a small label is supposed to do: showcase and give a start then let the rest come. Yesterday was my first listen to Child Bite but it now won't be my last. They sound like a fun sludgey version of one of my favorites, Clutch, and for me that is high praise. Take a listen to the very quirky Ancestral Ooze and see what you think.
Their new Ep Strange Waste will be released through Housecore Records which you can read more about and order HERE. Also check out their bandcamp page for their back catalog. To stay up to date on all the latest follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter.
