Welcome horror and metal fans! I know we've already started a new week but due to a total brain fart Feind forgot to do our weekly rewind. As the old adage goes... Better late than never so here we go...
After a week chock full o'horror for Halloween last week we figured it'd be good to catch up on a ton of metal releases we had yet to get to. In the end we covered 29 albums and we're still behind so look for a ton more this week. We also managed to throw in some horror reviews along the way as well. I had intended to get some more done but sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day. I'm still waiting for days to be 36 hours long so I can stay caught up but it seems Satan is as poor as the old man upstairs about answering prayers. Also late last week Feind was contacted by awesome editor Rob McEwan at Dark Chapter Press about writing a couple of guest "writer tips" articles this month connected to their Novel writing contest. Hopefully all of our writer friends are signed up for that 'cause that's the only way you'll see my tips as well as the others that have been posted already. My first article is on editing but I did try not to bore people to tears with it and hopefully some will find it helpful. That'll be posted sometime this week I believe and I'll have another or two later in the month. Perhaps after the contest I'll post those tips here as well for anyone that might be interested. That's all the news in Scribblerland for now, perhaps we'll have some more excitement for you at a later date (We will so stay tuned!). Now the all important question who kicked ass and took names with the Scribble of the Week? I can tell you it was a very tight race and still ongoing. We had just under 1500 visitors in the last week viewing over 12,o00 individual posts and I know not all of those were me! Thanks to all who enjoy what we do here and hey, tell a friend we don't mind!
Again all posts get the same amount of promo from yours truly but some of what we do gets outside promo from PR firms that send us music and filmmakers that enjoy reviews we've written. All I have to go be is the number of social media "likes and shares" so if you like something we've done share on Facebook, Twitter or wherever else you'd like. It was extremely close this week between several Scribbles but in the end the winner is...
Congratulations Cult! I can tell you it was due in large part to likes and shares from some of the bands themselves with 88 Mile Trip thoroughly enjoying the coverage!
That was our week that was everyone. Thank you to all who visit our site and share what we do on your social media pages. It really means the world to us since we do no advertising whatsoever other than talking with fellow horror and metal fans on our social media and out in the real world when we come in contact with you. Thank you all for growing this from just a couple of visitors a week to now about 1500 every week and still growing. We appreciate every visit. Stay tuned for tons of horror and metal all week and Stay Evil!
Enjoy all the horror and metal we share with you week in and week out? Please take a moment to show your appreciation with a small (or obscenely large!) donation below or stop by S Mart for the published works of The Scribbler Crew so far. Thank You.
What was your favorite Scribble of the Week? Have a suggestion for something you'd like us to cover? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
Feind created this page to bring you random Scribbles about new music, TV, writing or whatever happens to be on my minds.
