Scribble of the Week was....
Welcome Horror & Metal lovers! As we start a new week it's time to look back on the week that was and see who had The Scribble of the Week!
Well friends we had another fun filled week of horror and metal last week and a special little announcement I'll get to a little later today! We managed to cover 28 new metal albums, a TV series added to Netflix and a couple of movies. I'll apologize in advance for a slightly slow week this week and probably little to nothing next week for two reasons: 1) next week is Thanksgiving week so we'll take a much needed break but more importantly 2) Feind needs the time to finish his 1st novel by the end of the month for both Dark Chapter Press and as part of NaNoWriMo (that's National Novel Writing Month for any non-writers out there). Luckily Feind has the next 2 weeks home alone so rather than goofing off I plan to pretty much stay locked in my office for the next 2 weeks writing my f'ing ass off. Due to my time alone and no real reason to come out of my office I'll still do some things for the site especially this week but next week it'll be 100% concentration on finishing the novel. I have every confidence I'll be able to finish with my manuscript about half done as of right now. For those who follow me on Twitter I'll be posting my words per day and probably music from my writing playlist along the way. I have my work cut out of me but if it takes writing day and night then that's what I'll be doing. If you're a fellow Scribbler also participating in either NaNoWriMo or hopefully DCP's Novel Competition feel free to reach out for mutual support. I also have some other things coming up in association with DCP that I'll be announcing a little later today. We have plenty here on the site to keep you busy and if you're going to be writing right along with me feel free to let me know. Now to the important site business... who had the most popular Scribble of the week? Did Cult eek out another victory or was Feind able to claw his way back to the top? Read on...
Once again I determine the Scribble of the Week based solely on the number of Facebook "Likes" and/or Twitter shares from the site (There aren't enough hours in the day to count Retweets) until we have the ability to see individual post views. This is merely what appears to be the most popular Scribble not which is any of our personal favorite. So that in mind, this week's
Scribble of the Week was....
It was a pretty close race this week with tons of activity on our Facebook page for all the metal we covered on Hump Day Metal Day but this one pulled it out by a few "Likes." I'd like to send a Thank You to Mammoth Salmon for sending us their album directly and sharing this post with their fans. Also a big Thanks to one of our partners in metal, Grand Sounds Promotion, for multiple shares as they sent us the Police State, Enfeeble and Punching Moses albums. Also on a personal note thanks to The Maledict for an album that has been a fast favorite constituting multiple plays in the last couple of weeks. Now on to the rest of the week that was...
That was the week that was and now we'll be on to another fun filled week of Horror & Metal. Again it might be a little slow this week and next week we'll leave you be for Thanksgiving and family. We hope you enjoy all we share with you here and if you're participating in Dark Chapter Press' Novel Competition or just NaNoWriMo share your experience with us. What are you writing? I can tell you my novel has some of the nastiest things I've written to date in it along with some things that just may surprise you. Enjoy all the horror and metal we share and feel free to reach out to us with suggestions on the horror or metal side of things. Have a great week everyone!
