Welcome Horror & Metal Fans! It's been one helaciously frustrating week in the Scribbler Mansion. Our site host, Weebly, did a major system upgrade and it has more damn ticks than a meth'd up tweaker. We marched on anyway so take a look at what we were up to this week...
**Our site host has been very glitchy lately so if you see a link that doesn't work or anything funky please let us know in the comments or on Twitter or Facebook or email us at DemonScribblers [at] gmail [dot] com so it can be corrected. Feind doesn't always notice. Rest assured all posts are done properly but links and embeded codes have been dropping while our site host works the bugs out of their new system. Thank you for your patience if you notice something is amiss.
Well fans it's been one long ass week heading into what looks to be a very long weekend. It looks like Feind will be taking a road trip this weekend so we may be off most of next week as far as posts for the site go as I won't be able to post anything. I'll be around on Twitter and Facebook so no one should really miss me. This week we got our first Scribble from Kieran who has been busy getting his learn on at university (it's overrated seriously!) and it was one heluva Scribble. Also doing some maintenance I noticed that the tale I wrote earlier this year as a guest of author Chad Clark's site The Baked Scribe was no longer available there so I added it here for anyone who hadn't seen it yet. No problem with Chad Clark, it looks like he did some upgrading on his site and the link to my tale just wasn't there any more. Earlier this week I issued a couple of tasks/challenges for our entire Scribbler Crew that hopefully will make the week of Halloween a lot of fun but we'll get to all that at the appropriate time. Also not that anyone probably cares but you'll be seeing a little less of Feind over the next several weeks as I need to buckle down and finish my first novel (there is a reason for the urgency that I'll get to at a later date). So we may be off for most of (maybe all, I don't know) next week but we'll be stockpiling so the following week should be huge if our site host gets their shit together. We'd like to thank everyone that visits us, now I get more accurate stats on that with the upgrade at least. We had over 1500 visitors this week viewing over 11,000 posts which we think is fucking fantastic. Now for the important question... Who had the Scribble of the Week? Did Feind finally crawl his way back to the top or does our new Scribbler Kieran have a target on his back? Don't worry Kieran I don't need a target for a chainsaw!
Again if anyone is new here we haven't been able to upgrade our own capabilities to see more accurate stats yet so all I can judge this by is the number of Facebook "Likes" and Tweets from the site. I really wish we could have welcomed Kieran's first Scribble as the Scribble of the Week. Alas it came down to Cult's Review of The Slashening which had an early lead (currently at a respectable 44 FB "Likes") but was overtaken and slapped around like one of Leatherface's dates by Feind with over 100 FB "Likes" for...
So I was back on top this week and quite unexpectedly to be honest. Most of the thanks go to the bands who shared with their fans and to our partners at Grand Sounds Promotion, John Asher Music Promotion and Kelly at Prosthetic Records. Thanks for spreading the word around helping to bring new fans into the Scribbler fold. I would like to send a shout out to my main partner Cult for his review of The Slashening which received some love from Troma Films (the film's distributor) and from the legend, the man himself Mister Lloyd "fucking" Kaufman! Nice job Cult!
There you have it Scribbler fans, that was our week in Scribbles. We managed to sneak in 22 album reviews, 12 movie reviews and a new original horror tale - not too bad for as difficult as it was this week to get anything at all out for you. Again we'll probably be off most or perhaps all next week is Feind goes on a road trip but I'll be working away as much as I can. Have a great weekend and The Scribbler Crew will be back with you very soon!
Enjoy all the horror and metal we share with you every week? Please take a moment to show your appreciation for all the work that goes into it with a small donation (or insanely huge!) or stop by S Mart for the published works of The Scribbler Crew. Thank You.
Feind created this page to bring you random Scribbles about new music, TV, writing or whatever happens to be on my minds.
