Red Hot Rebellion...

Red Hot Rebellion in the comments below.
Time to close out the week Scribbler Fans. I sent this over to Occult Rock but apparently they decided not to run with it but I like it so here we go. This is a fairly new band that few have probably heard of and it has a nice nerdy comic tie that Cult and I are both into so take a look/listen to Red Hot Rebellion... ![]() Sometimes as I stumble and bumble around the interwebs I find something that I end up enjoying by surprise in a vast ocean of mediocrity and downright crap. The internet is a fantastic tool allowing any band to get their music out there fairly easily and cheaply which is great but it comes with a price for music lovers on the prowl for something to wow us. Yes, you have to trudge through 40 miles of stinking sewage sometimes to stumble across those diamonds in the rough just waiting to be found. Such was the case when I heard Red Hot Rebellion for the first time (which was last Friday if I’m not mistaken). The tiny YouTube screen shot was enough to entice me to click away. I am and always will be a fan of comics as they got me reading at an early age and all these years later now writing myself, though sadly no comic yet (but I do have a few ideas damn it!). So back to that screenshot, obviously it was of a comic book nature or that tangent just made no sense. It seems Red Hot Rebellion have teamed with Paper + Plastick Records for P+P’s song & story series bringing a song to life in comic book form, you can read the details, order and get a free song download here. The song in question is called Black Magic Dynamite and is as fun to listen to as it appears the comic is if you can get your grubby little hands on it. RHR are a bit of a metal/punk band sounding to me a bit like Kill ‘Em All era Metallica tossed in a blender with The Ramones so that should further entice you to check them out. Here’s Black Magic Dynamite that has a little southern groove flare tossed in the mix as well. Enjoy courtesy of Blank TV. With my interest in the band sparked I found it rather easy to find Red Hot Rebellion all over the place. You can find them along with others at Paper + Plastick Records here, their Official Website here, Facebook, Twitter and you can also listen & purchase their music at Bandcamp here. I’ve listened to several of their songs now and they’re just a lot of fun so if some fun, party rock/punk/metal is your thing then you’ll love ‘em too! There you have it Scribbler fans the last post for the week. Let us know what you think of Red Hot Rebellion in the comments below.
