Hello all you Scribbler fans! Are we up to 4 yet? HA! Yesterday was my partner Cult's birthday and I feel bad since we aren't close enough to each other for me to give him a hug or a little pat on his old saggy tush! Sorry buddy you need to tone up! But rather than send my partner a box of much needed Depends I thought I'd share with all of you something that Cult happily shared with me. Let's celebrate Cult's old age with a little misery, Misery Index that is!
Since I'm the elder of the Dynamic Scribblin Duo I hope Cult will forgive me as I can't remember the first songs by Misery Index that he forced me to listen to at gunpoint (that Cult is a real badass HAHAHA). However, no one cares so here are a couple of the first songs I heard which happily hooked me as Cult created a new MI fan out of me (you can put the gun away now sir!).
After finally really listening to a few MI songs I decided I had been missing out and couldn't figure out why I hadn't started listening sooner. Lucky for me around the time Cult introduced me to them they were in the studio working on their new album, The Killing Gods, and thanks to the few metal news sites I've haunted for years I started to hear the first early release tracks and they were in a word (or two) Fucking Fantastic! Watch the first vid they released just a couple weeks ago for The Calling below.
By now you should be hooked and need some more Misery Index so because I'm sooooooo damn awesome here is the full album The Killing Gods. You're Welcome! It is already a contender for my best album of the year but we'll see how it plays out because I have a feeling that new Pallbearer album may steal my top spot but that's yet to be seen. But here go listen!
Happy Birthday Cult!
