Season 5 Episode 3
Four Walls and a Room
In my recap/reviews I expect that you've already seen the episode so if you haven't read at your own risk.
As I predicted the power struggle between Abraham and Rick kicked into high gear when Gareth and crew drop the tainted edible known as Bob back on their doorstep. Abraham already itching to get on the move to DC wants to leave immediately while everyone else tries to tell him how stupid it would be to leave in the middle of the night in the middle of the zombie apocalypse but surprisingly there is no rational push back from Eugene himself. Eugene or Mullet Boy is usually the voice of sanity at such moments yet I was surprised when he kept his yap shut pretty much the entire episode. Everyone calms down as an agreement to wait until noon the next day is agreed upon. This while not boring was the most boring part of the show. That's how good this episode was.
The showdown between the surviving Terminus cannibals led by wicked Gareth and Rick & crew. Gareth for being as smart as he seemed to be has a total brain fart on this one. Having dropped Bob back off at the church they hoped to summon Rick's vengeful spirit to come after them. Once they watch Rick leave with a crew they enter the church in search of fresh meat. Bob obviously was not good brain food. The entire group enters the church (you always leave someone on guard Man!) playing a little game of hide and seek with the writers attempting to build tension by not showing exactly where those that remained when Rick left are hiding. Then badass Rick shows up with a couple of silenced shots (remember those silencers found just last week?) leaving Gareth and crew done for. Now if you remembered back in the season opener Rick told Gareth exactly what he was going to kill him with and whaddya know, there's that beautiful red handled machete. Gareth begs but after all he's done there's no way he will be allowed to live. A bloody good time is had as revenge is served, I'm not sure if it was cold or not.
