Feind Gets The Blues From Down Under With Child

Welcome Scribbler Music Fans! Old Man Feind finally has his full list of the year's favorite albums. Now I just have to get from 61 to about 15. Yeah, I got my work cut out for me. So in going through some of what I listened to this year I came across a gem from early in the year. Since it's more of an Ep it probably won't make the cut but it's too good not to share plus today is a blues kinda day...

So Old Man Feind has his work cut out for him in the next few days trying to get my massive list of over 60 albums down to about 15 of the absolute year's best. It's the time of year when know-nothings like me try to tell you what the best albums of the year were which just as with anything, everyone has their own taste and opinion, so stay tuned for mine if you wish. There were some real gems that came out this year even though my top couple of spots are pretty secure.
So anyway, going through some of what I heard this year I came across Child who I heard very early in the year with their self titled debut which is kind of in between Ep and full length. It makes no real difference because this is a band you should most definitely keep your eye on going forward even if you have to travel to their native Melbourne, Australia to do it. This is easily the best blues/classic rock band I heard all year and that's saying something since I hear a lot of this type of music moonlighting for my friends over at Doommantia. I shit you not I just hit play on All Dried Up for about the 6th time in a row and I'll probably hit it a few more times before I move on. Child are all kinds of bluesy awesome so I expect big things in the future, they are seriously good! The blues really hit the spot today so spin All Dried Up with me then check out the rest of the album. It's seriously fantastic!
