Welcome Scribbler Metalheads! Old Man Feind wants to end the day with a bang and I can't think of a better band or album to do it with than Origin! Origin have been around for nearly two decades and never fail to impress with their progressive, technical, sci-fi influenced death metal! This year's Omnipresent was no exception.
Origin never seem to fail to impress with every album they put out. Originally founded in Topeka, Kansas in '98 they've been through a few changes over the years but they still dole out brutal death metal no matter what. Origin are more of a pure death metal band though with all the technicality found in tech-death and a bit of progressive-ness as well that set them apart from the death metal pack. It was definitely hard to keep Omnipresent out of my tops of the year but I didn't find myself listening to it as many times as the ones that did make it. It's more of a my personal taste thing than any lack of awesomeness on Origin's part. I'm listening again as I write this and damn is it fantastically brutal! So here are a couple of the singles released then as always the full album for you.
Omnipresent is one of those odd releases with dual labels distributing. The album was released on Agonia Records in Europe and Nuclear Blast in the US in case anyone was confused. No worries for you just click the "buy" link on the bandcamp embed below after you listen to make sure it's for you of course.
