The background in many of the scenes are mostly CGI generated, as well as the copious seemingly never ending splatters of claret. This effect does nothing IMHO to pull one's enjoyment away from the final product which cannot possibly be taken seriously in the slightest. It is after all a 'puppet' movie, can one expect anything less than bizarre OTT scenarios topped with hilarity?
Certainly this is not for everyone (though why not?) or anyone looking for the next film of Oscar worthy proportions. No, this is a palette cleansing film, a feature to whisk you away from the unending cavalcade of remakes currently on offer with more piling up in pre-production and the mountainous piles of zombie affairs direct-to-DVD shelves or worse on the SyFy Channel! This is an ideal chunk of celluloid that sets new parameters for the rules of any existing drinking game or alternatively a film one might enjoy if they want something fresh, unusual and ultimately unique. *Or if you like to partake in the sticky icky, just sayin.
