Welcome horror and artist fans! Last week Scribbler friend Kevon Ward has us biting our nails but just how did it all turn out?
Hopefully if you’re reading this you’ve already seen last week’s episode. This was a special week of Face Off since it was the 100th episode. To mark the occasion the FX contestants had to design and create a concept for couples that would be married live on air. Honestly, the couples willing to do this are just Nuckin’ Futz but they definitely had a “big day” they’ll remember. I personally wouldn’t do that as part of a competition show like this just like I wouldn’t volunteer to be a canvas on Inkmaster (another Feind favorite show) because the point of a competition like this is that some are going to fail or things are going to go wrong. Speaking of things going wrong our friend Kevon Ward was having what could have ended up just a disastrous week. First the couple Kevon and his partner, Evan Hedges, randomly picked didn’t have a clear cut idea for what they wanted causing a creative nightmare. Then with everything going pretty well through the sculpting and molding when it came to application Kevon just kept having trouble. First after applying his model’s face appliance ,when he put on the moon headpiece he created it tore half of the facial appliance off. Kevon thought fast on his feet to correct the problem then in last looks one of her wings broke as well. Would he correct all of the problems well enough in time to not get his butt landed on the bottom of the heap?
Luckily he was able to do well enough not to be facing elimination. I couldn’t have let out a bigger sigh of relief when he was announced as being safe for the week! I’m sure Kevon was far more relieved and hopefully enjoyed a couple extra glasses of champagne at the reception for the couples to just let the stress go (I’d go with a couple of shots bet hey, when in Rome…). The top look went to Ben & Jasmine which was well deserved with Jasmine being named the overall winner of the week, again well deserved. As for the bottom once again Missy is facing elimination for the third straight week and I think this will finally be her time to go. She’s very young and I just don’t think her craft is up to the level of the competitors this year which doesn’t take anything away from her she’s just far less experienced than the field this time around. But we have to wait until tonight to find out who’s getting the boot because they let all the artists attend the wedding reception for the couples before naming who is going home. Again I think Missy is a goner but we shall see. Hopefully Kevon will have a better time of it this week. Stop making us bite our nails Hans! Besides I heard One legged Sis has something special for you if you win, I don’t really wanna know!
