"Don’t Let This Stay Here’ is our reaction to the Edward Snowden leaks that confirmed the U.S. government’s saving of all our phone calls, text messages, emails and web searches in giant server farms. To us, that is fucking terrifying and unacceptable, and this is our rallying cry against it.
“The citizens building the first top secret atomic bombs in Oak Ridge, Tennessee were told: ‘What you see here, what you do here, what you hear here, when you leave here, let it stay here.’ This song is for the NSA employees that question what they are doing. It’s for the American civilians feeling betrayed by the breaches of privacy, and it’s for the people at our shows singing along and sharing our frustration. Don’t Let This Stay Here. Spread the word."
Welcome metalheads! Sorry about the long lay off but Hump Day Metal Day is back!! Feind is done travelling so we’ll be back to normal-ish now! I can't think of anything better to start off with than some awesome thrash straight out of Boston…
Boston's Ramming Speed just seem to get better and better. 2013's Doomed to Destroy, Destined to Die was their best work to date and while we wait for what the band does next they've released a new 7" single produced by the always awesome Kurt Ballou called Don't Let This Stay Here. By now unless you live in some sort of cave or you're just extremely stupid you should know the name Edward Snowden and no matter what you think of that brave young man there is no doubt that the US government by way of the NSA have overstepped their bounds in terms of capturing the day to day doldrums of the masses. I really don't care what your personal opinion is on Snowden or the NSA info gathering I only care that you should have an opinion of some sort. If you don't by now please go to the nearest cliff and take one large step for mankind, Thank you! Anyway here is what Ramming Speed had to say about this latest song and why it is titled what it is then of course take a listen to what is really one kick ass damn track in Don't Let This Stay Here!
The Don't Let This Stay Here 7" is available on bandcamp for $1 as a digital download or you can purchase your vinyl copy while supplies last. Also while you're there listen or buy their last album Doomed to Destroy, Destined to Die. Ramming Speed will be touring in Europe in July & August with varying support from Deathrite, DRI and Toxic Holocaust. Check out their Facebook page for dates or follow them on Twitter to stay up on all the band's latest news.
