Welcome Scribbler Metalheads! Old Man Feind has been dropping a bunch of the year's best on you but it's time to start looking ahead to next year as well which I'm sure will be another in a long line of great years in metal. With that in mind I saw an early release from Ingested and it's brutal as all hell!
One look at the album cover and you know what's coming. This will be some brutal fucking death metal as long as they don't ruin it with "pig squeals" (I really hate that, it's like damn nails on a chalkboard to me). So I took a deep breath, hit play and WAHLA! Ingested kicked my ass! The album cover for Ingested's latest, The Architect of Extinction, is reminiscent of Devourment's last so I can only assume it's the same artist though I could be wrong and I'm too lazy to check. If it is it's fitting because if you like Devourment you'll like Ingested as they are very similar sounding. This is no frills brutal death metal so if that isn't your thing this one isn't for you but if you like a brutal dose of metal to go with your coffee then warm your neck up and crank it up! Here's your first listen to new Ingested with The Divine Right of Kings.
You be the judge... same artist? Looks like it to me so maybe I'll stop being lazy and look it up.
The Architect of Extinction comes out Jan 12th via Century Media (order here) so while you're out returning the ugly cat sweater your aunt bought you for Xmas you can use the money to pick up some new brutal holiday music! Stay up with all the latest from Ingested via Facebook and/or Twitter.
