Welcome horror fans! It wasn’t long ago that we did a little promo for the awesome FX/film makers of Britain’s Team Chameleon for their crowdfunding campaign to make their first movie, Lab Rats. The campaign was a success and now we see some results…
We try to do what we can here at TDBS to support Indie films and filmmakers when we have the opportunity to do so and so far the projects we’ve supported have done well. Our friends Jimmy Lee Combs and Kevon Ward saw their film Hans Crippleton: Talk To The Hans open to huge success (for a small Indie film) and that will be coming to DVD next month. Our friends Carl Smith & Jeff McLaurin are about to launch their webseries Tales of a 5th Grade Zombie Slayer. Chelsey Burdon successfully fulfilled her IndieGoGo campaign to get Dead Bitch made and Luke Oberholtzer finished Drain Babiesboth of which hopefully we’ll see soon. There are others as well and while we are still small fish in a very large ocean we’d like to think we were able to contribute at least something to help these Indie pioneers see their visions come to fruition. So several months ago we were contacted by Team Chameleon about helping promo their crowdfunding campaign after making their first short film on a paltry £70! Their Kickstarter campaign was successful even receiving the backing of Emily Booth and a Scribbler favorite Eli Roth (Green Inferno in theaters September 25th!). Team Chameleon still has plenty of hard work in front of them but they now have the first trailer available for what looks to be an awesome debut feature in Lab Rats! Watch:
A brief synopsis: Lab Rats follows Kat and her eco-warrior friends as they embark on a mission to expose bio-chemistry company Ring-Amnion as liars, following a tip-off that they ran an animal testing lab. Despite their public profile claiming otherwise; it soon becomes clear that Ring-Amnion are willing to test on more than just animals.
Lab Rats will start appearing at festivals soon and we’ll keep you up to date as much as we can to support this awesome team of Indie film makers but you can also follow them on Facebook to stay up to date on all the latest news and notes.
