My personal writing journey started a few years ago. I had a couple ideas in my head and some time on my hands so I started scribbling at that time with pen and paper. I had tried when I was younger but I was never able to focus on the task as my thoughts were helter skelter from one to another making writing pretty much impossible. No, I'm not an ADD person but when it came to writing I found I'd start something, get distracted, start another and never really finish anything. Then I tried again only to find I was able to stay focused and stick with it. I started and finished one tale and immediately started another. Then life got in the way.
Since then I have written many, some for what I intended to be a collection and others I have now posted here on this site. Finally shortly after the first of the year I finished what I wanted for my collection which ended up being 8 tales some of short story, by the rules, length but admittedly most fall in the novella category. I knew I needed help to make what I had presentable and luckily I had someone willing to help me. Not long ago she returned my book fully proofread with some editing notes to help me make it as good as I could. I have completed the corrections and yesterday with about as much anxiety as I've ever felt I submitted it to a publisher. My anxiety increases with every breath as I write this waiting for what I'm sure will be the first of many rejections but I have no plans to stop what I'm doing. I can't help it, I'm a writer... it's what I do.
As you can see from what I have posted here, hopefully you've read some of my drivel, my inspirations always inevitably come from music and my book is no different. I can't share all the tales with you now as you'll have to buy my book to see that if I'm ever able to get it out there, so for now I'll give you a little synopsis of what I've written with the songs that inspired it. So this is in effect the soundtrack to the 120K+ words I dropped on some poor publisher yesterday. Enjoy if you can!
