Welcome metalheads! I know it’s been a little while but Old Man Feind can finally start sharing some new metal for you to check out once again! This one has been a favorite for years now so check out some new…
In about ten days Fear Factory are set to unleash their latest Genexus. Put the unfortunate name out of you mind as this has nothing to do with the latest addition to the mechanized Arnie farce that is the new Terminator flick. Fear Factory here seem to be back to the sound they’ve been churning out for decades now and this seems to be a return to form after somewhat of a lackluster follow up after Burton C Bell and Dino Cazares finally made amends and reunited though the rest of FF decided to bow out at the same time. Everything I’ve heard from the latest Fear Factory puts a couple of my favorite releases in mind namely Demanufacture and Digimortal or the best FF have done. It’s been three years since The Industrialist which wasn’t terrible but didn’t seem to have the same energy of Mechanize when Bell & Dino reunited. I think they’ve hit their stride once again here but we’ll see once the full album comes out. Take a listen to Soul Hacker below which is my favorite of the songs released thus far.
Genexus comes out August 7th, pre-order via Nuclear Blast Records. Make sure to stay up with all of Fear Factory news and tour dates by following them on Facebook and Twitter.
