Hershell Gordon Lewis
What can I possibly say about this film, that hasn't been said before, probably not much to be honest. So without further ado here's a short and sweet summary of what I thought.
Chock full of cheesey moments and bad 'on cue' acting Blood Feast is not a great movie but it is surprisingly easy to watch, but only if you are about to do half a dozen other things at the same time. For a movie that's over fifty years old it delivers the 'goods', surpassing even a great deal of more recent films with its use of physical FX. The effects are horrid, but still very efective and I can only imagine what audiences at the time must have thought. The film is still, however, a lot of fun and to think I was actually dreading a complete viewing. I have watched some of the 'juicy' parts before my reaction then was to utter aloud...Where's the damn remote? I am now happy to report I have changed my opinion.
Bring on that creepy Fuad fellow and the bevvy of 1960's former Playboy centerfolds.
Give it a peek you may...
