On a side note director Tommy Wirkola recently found success with a wide audience between entries in this series with Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013). A film which IMO is a more than an interesting slant and continuation on a traditional fairy tale regarding an interesting eating fetish/disorder that could well curb all of the problems associated with curious and bothersome children (if only there were ovens big enough and suitable gourmet sauces to compliment the taste).
Within the small Norwegian town (village?) where all this is occurring is a small police force headed by Gunga (Hallvard Holmen) an officer with a relaxed air who appears more than in 'over his head' regardless of his training, which for the most part seems as though to be ripped straight from a mish- mash of popular cop/tough guy movie scripts. He soon realizes with disastrous consequences that the antagonist hordes are not in fact part of a traveling carnival troupe. At one point Gunga tells his troops that the main fight/battle scene seems like something from a video game as he cowers, peeking out, from behind a large pair of curtains.
