So what does old man Feind think about all these damn remakes? I know all the cool kids and hard-core horror fans refuse to even see remakes taking any opportunity to show off their snarkiness by vociferously voicing their opinion that most times wasn’t asked for in the first place. I, on the other hand, have no problem with remakes especially in horror and I’ll tell you why so listen up those of you who turn your nose up every time one of our favorites or a “classic” gets redone – It Doesn’t Matter! The original doesn’t somehow magically disappear because someone decided to remake it whether it was strictly a cash grab or because they thought they could do something artistically different. Good, bad or indifferent the original remains. Best case scenario you end up with two great movies. Worse case scenario the remake blows bloody asschunks and yet the original remains. In either case more people are made aware of and therefore watch the original so that’s a total win in my book. So there you have it take that stick out of your ass and just watch it because it’s horror. But there is another reason remakes make sense in horror. So don’t go anywhere yet, keep your ass glued to that damn seat Old Man Feind ain’t done yet!
Bring it Scribbler fans!
